Our ABC
A = Academy for wildlife conservation
Cross Nature supports projects of conservation partners worldwide that protect endangered species by offering courses in nature conservation and wildlife expertise. The course fees support these projects. Courses can be taken separately or combined into a two-year program. By completing the full program, you will be trained as a wildlife expert. Students learn various methods for protecting endangered species through examples from our conservation partners. Our students can also visit the projects.
B = Behavioural understanding of wildlife
By understanding animal behavior in relation to their environment, we can better protect their habitats and prevent conflicts with humans. That's why Cross Nature, together with our partner organizations, conducts research into the behavior of wild animals, protects habitats, and works towards harmonious coexistence of humans and animals.
C = Compassion, Connection & Concrete actions
Compassionate conservation (nature conservation with compassion) is based on the principle that not only the species matters, but also the individual. We believe that every species is valuable, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem. Every living being has sentience and intrinsic value as an individual. Therefore, we will not kill animals to save other species. But compassion alone is not enough. We must cooperate globally and implement concrete conservation actions to protect wild animals and their habitats.
