Wildlife course

This course introduces you to the world of nature conservation. We will compare various methods for protecting monkey species. After all, monkeys are our ambassadors for the protection of endangered species in general. By protecting monkeys, we protect many animal species. You will gain an impression of the possibilities in the field of nature conservation. You will also learn a lot about the behavior of different wild animal species in relation to their habitat. And if you wish, you can visit the projects yourself! (This is not mandatory and is not included in the course).

For example, our partner in Uganda is committed to gorillas. By improving the health of the local population, the gorillas face a lower risk of infections. And by launching ecotourism, there is now broad support among the people in Uganda to protect gorillas. Our conservation partner in Malaysia focuses on preserving tropical rainforest alongside palm oil plantations and researching which wild animals are regularly found on palm oil plantations. By investigating this, they create greater awareness among plantation owners and work with them to find ways of harmonious coexistence on the plantations and the preservation of adjacent rainforest.

On the other pages, you can read more about the projects you will hear much more about during the course. And should you decide not to take the course after all: all projects can also simply be supported via Cross Nature by making a donation!

The first course will be available online in Dutch. (At a later stage, we hope to offer the course in English for international students as well). You can stay in touch with fellow students and ask the instructor questions via an online forum. More information regarding the structure and costs of the course will follow shortly.
