Mission (goal; what we strive for)
Together with you, we want to protect wild animals and their habitats. We do this by training you to become a Wildlife Expert through our Wildlife Academy. We use the tuition fees to support and set up projects for endangered species worldwide. We want to offer you the gateway to active participation in nature conservation from a solid foundation.
Vision
Nature conservation is a collaborative effort. And admiration leads to conservation. That is why we want to take you into the wonderful world of wild animals within our Wildlife Academy and nature conservation projects. We want to inspire you and others to actively commit to nature conservation.
We do this by training you to become a Wildlife Expert at a high level and offering you both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. You can immediately join concrete projects from a solid foundation. In doing so, Cross Nature offers the gateway to a career in nature conservation.
About us
We are Paul and Miranda Hoeksema, a married couple and founders of the Cross Nature Foundation (established January 9, 2019). We believe that every life has value and meaning; both for every human and every animal! Cross Nature was established from a Christian perspective for every wildlife enthusiast; Christians and non-Christians alike. Paul is currently pursuing the university Pre-Master’s in Environmental Sciences, and Miranda already holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences (MSc.) and is pursuing a PhD in Wildlife Science. We are happy to share our knowledge and experience as Wildlife Experts and conservationists with you.
Transparency in partnerships is important to us. That is why we only work with organizations we know personally. This allows us to maintain close communication and ensures that the funds are used effectively.
About the name Cross Nature
The name Cross Nature means 'Straight through nature'. Additionally, Cross refers to the Christian foundation of the organization.
